Emissions of pollutants in the air

Legal entities and entrepreneurs who, in the performance of their activities, affect or can affect air quality are required to obtain a permit on the permitted emissions of polluting substances in the air issued by the Environmental Protection Agency.

License conditions

Based on the request that contains data on:

  • to the applicant (name and registered office, that is, name and address);
  • activities for which a request for a license is submitted (activities performed or facilities used in the performance of activities);
  • the location where the activity is performed i
  • sources of emissions of pollutants into the air.

The following documentation is attached to the request for a permit:

  • description of technical measures to prevent and reduce air emissions and
  • the report on the first measurements of emissions of polluting substances into the air for the new plant, that is, the report on the last measurements of polluting substances into the air for the existing plant.

Law on Air Protection ("Official Gazette of Montenegro", no. 25/10, 40/11, 43/15, 073/19),

Regulation on limit values ​​of pollutant emissions in the air from stationary sources (Official Gazette of the Republic of Montenegro, No. 10/2011),
Rulebook on the detailed method and necessary documentation for issuing a permit on permitted emissions of polluting substances in the air (Official Gazette of the Republic of Montenegro, no. 25/13, 61/13).

Legal remedies

An appeal can be filed against this decision (permit) to the Ministry of Tourism, Ecology, Sustainable Development and Development of the North within 15 days from the day it was delivered.
