Business registration and operations

The conditions for establishment - registration of all forms of economic activities are prescribed by the Law on Business Companies ("Official Gazette of the Republic of Montenegro", No. 65/20). In addition to the conditions prescribed by law, it is necessary to fulfill the conditions established by the Ordinance, i.e. the Instruction on the work of the Central Register of Business Entities ("Official Gazette of the Republic of Montenegro", number 20/12), which specifies the procedure and manner of operation of the Central Register of Business Entities, as well as the Registration Forms, i.e. applications for registration that are an integral part thereof. There are also conditions for the establishment of a business entity, which must be met in order to be able to register a business entity, and these are prescribed by the provisions of the Law on Prevention of Illegal Business ("Official Gazette of Montenegro" No. 29/13).

You can submit a request for registration of the requested data by mail or directly at the archives of the Central Register of Business Entities, Ulica Vaka Đurovića No. 20, 81 000 Podgorica, Montenegro.

The request is to be accompanied by the proof of the paid administrative fee in accordance with Article 89 of the Law on Business Companies ("Official Gazette of the Republic of Montenegro", No. 65/20) in the amount of EUR 5.00 to the account of the Budget of Montenegro, i.e. to the giro account 832-3161-26. Along with the prescribed form for registration of the requested data, you must also submit documentation in the original or certified photocopy in accordance with the provisions of Article 2 paragraph 2 of the Operating Instructions of the Central Register of Business Entities, as follows:

• Form - Single registration application
• Proof of paid tax in the amount of 5 euros
• Decision on establishing a business unit
• Power of attorney, if the application for registration is submitted by a person who does not register the establishment of a business unit in his own name.
