Extension of authorization - Paragliders

License conditions

  • The request for extending the validity of the authorization is submitted on the form established by the Agency.
  • A refresher seminar for a flight instructor cannot last less than six hours and must include at least the following components: 1) flight training methodology and 2) flight safety.

Special requirements for qualifications

  • Proof of completed flight with a paraglider of at least 30 hours during the validity of the authorization, of which at least 10 hours of completed flight in the last year of validity of the authorization;
  • Certificate of passing the practical skills test conducted by an authorized examiner;
  • A valid medical certificate (which was issued in accordance with the regulation regulating the health capacity of aircraft crew members or which was issued in accordance with the law regulating road traffic safety);
  • For the extension or renewal of the validity period of the flight instructor's authorization, the candidate must submit proof of attendance at the flight instructor's refresher seminar conducted by a person authorized by the Agency and a certificate of passing the practical ability test conducted by an authorized examiner.

Legal remedies

Possibility of appeal to the Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs within 15 days from the date of delivery of the decision. The complaint is submitted to the Civil Aviation Agency with a EUR 4.00 administrative fee.
