Development of a geological research project, carrying out geological research and creating documentation on geological research

Businesses (activities) of designing geological surveys, carrying out one or more types of basic geological surveys and preparing reports on the results of geological surveys can be performed by a business company or another legal entity (hereinafter: business company) on the basis of a license.
Geological surveys of mineral raw materials and soil for the construction of buildings are carried out on the basis of approval.
The content of the geological research project and the criteria for determining the prices of works in the field of geological research are defined by the by-law - the Rules.
License conditions
- The fulfillment of the conditions is proved by the business company with a license to carry out design and geological research work;
- The request for the issuance of a license is submitted on the form prescribed by the conditions for the issuance and/or certification of licenses to the ministry responsible for geological research;
- The license is issued for a period of five years and is verified every year;
The company must be registered for designing, carrying out one basic type of geological research or several types of geological research and preparing geological research reports;
- In order to perform one basic type of geological research, it is necessary for the company to have at least 2 (two) graduate geological engineers in the appropriate field, with work experience of at least 3 (three) years in the profession and a passed professional exam;
- In order to perform several types of geological research, in addition to the conditions for performing one basic type of geological research, it is necessary for the company to employ at least 1 (one) graduate engineer in geology for each type of research for which the company is seeking a license, with a passed professional exam and work experience of at least 3 (three) years in the profession.
- If the geological research project envisages the execution of mining exploration works, persons who meet the conditions prescribed by the laws regulating mining must be hired for the design;
Special requirements for qualifications
- Evidence-Excerpt from the Central Registry of the Commercial Court of Montenegro on the registration of a company for designing, performing one basic type of geological research, that is, for performing several types of geological research, and which;
- Statute of the company with activity code;
Proof of completed higher education (certified copy of university diploma) for geological engineers;
- Proof of passed professional exam - certified copy of certificate for geological engineers;
- Evidence of work experience in the profession for geological engineers and jobs they have worked on;
Data on the employment relationship of the engineer in the company (employment contract and certified copy of the work book)
- Foreigners should have a residence permit in accordance with the law governing the employment and work of foreigners, a certified photocopy of a passport instead of an identity card, and a certified photocopy of a corresponding license from the country of origin, instead of a certificate of passing a professional exam.
- If a person from the countries of the former Yugoslavia has a license for a natural person, or passed a professional exam for work in the field of geology, obtained before February 2008, the same is accepted as the Montenegrin Certificate of passing the professional exam.
Fees
License: €500 for issuing a license
License: €150 for certification of the license, company
Taking the professional exam: Funds for the work of the commission for taking the professional exam are provided by the candidate or the company-institution where the candidate is employed, and are paid to a special account of the Ministry responsible for geological research, in the amount determined by a special decision.
In the earlier period, the amount of expenses per candidate was approximately €200.

Deadline: 8 days - the license holder is obliged to inform the Ministry responsible for geological research about all changes in the conditions for obtaining a license, within 8 days from the day of the change in conditions. (Article 12a of the Law on Geological Surveys)
Legal remedies
The possibility of a lawsuit within 20 days from the date of issuance/certification of the license to the Administrative Court of Montenegro, Svetog Petra Cetinjskog 130, Podgorica.
